Location: Wilmington, NC
Shift Hours: Start Time: 7:30 AM

Opportunity: Full-time conversion
Travel: Occasional travel to Charlotte for equipment/parts pick-up and drop-off
Training: Initial training in Charlotte required for up to 2 weeks. Client will cover travel expenses; however, personal transportation is required.
PPE Provided: Steel-toe boots, safety vest, safety glasses, and hard hat
Interviews: Virtual interviews
Preference: Given to candidates with wastewater experience

Position Summary:

Executes field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks:

• Create and maintain a safe working environment and culture within the organization.
• Take care of company property.
• Troubleshoot systems for mechanical and electrical equipment conditions. Identify and remedy safety issues for both company and customer-owned equipment.
• Directly interface with customers.
• Potentially work at multiple sites with multiple technologies.
• Serve as the first line of technical service support.
• Be customer-facing with high utilization.
• Be accountable to customers for the operation and repair of the system.
• Operate a boom truck (site is willing to train).

Position Requirements:
Formal Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge & Experience

• Ability to obtain a TWIC card.
• Technical experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including smart devices.
• Must have customer service experience.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card.

Please Note: If you are hired for this role, our client requires the successful completion of a drug screen and background check as part of the employment process. For safety-sensitive positions, the drug screen will be a ten-panel test.

Driving Requirements::

• Able to operate a company vehicle.
• Able to pass driver requirements, which include:
  • Driver Application for Employment

  • FMCSA Certificate of Awareness
  • Driver Certificate of Violations
  • Driver Statement of On Duty Hours

• Must be able to sit, stand, hear, and see on a constant basis.
• Must be able to walk, write, and type on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Must be able to climb and descend stairs.
• Must be able to bend, carry, reach, push, and pull on an occasional basis.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• May work indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Exposure to heat up to 120 degrees and cold to 0 degrees.
• May work in areas where noise level requires hearing protection.
• May be exposed to varying amounts of dust and dirt.
• Work surfaces may include concrete.
• Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone.
• 3-5 years of experience required.
